Boomer Auction

When: 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 3rd.
Where: Becky Meier’s Residence

Please attend the Boomer Auction at Becky Meier’s home. Bring a dish to share for the potluck and two wrapped gifts to auction. One gift should be nice and the other one can be fun or clever.

Items will be auctioned to raise money for Hoyt Street meals. The money will be used to purchase ingredients for meals. Each meal has a delicious main dish, a salad, bananas, bread, dessert, and milk.

Come celebrate Easter at Hillsdale UCC with a special joint service in English and Marshallese!

This year, Rev. JJ and Rev. Aimond of the Marshallese Ministry UCC congregation will be conducting a joint Easter service drawing on music and traditions from both Marshallese and Western cultures.

After the service there will be a potluck and an Easter egg hunt. It’s sure to be a joyous morning!

Attendees are asked to bring non-fragrant flowers for the Communion table, and to wear white clothing (it is customary for the Marshallese to wear white on Easter Sunday).

Vision Board Workshop

Often a better future starts with imagining that it’s possible. This free workshop will empower you to do just that, and help free your creativity in the process. Make time to do some journaling the week before the workshop and write an intention about what you want to see ahead in the world, your life, or anything else. Your quiet time and journaling will reveal it to you.

To create your vision board, come anytime between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 8. The workshop will be in the Community Room.

If you plan to come, please send an RSVP here. Supplies will be provided, and you are also welcome to bring some of your own.

On Jan. 15 we will revisit the three options (as presented in 2022 at our annual Congregational Meeting) for the Future of Hillsdale Community Church. Our hope is that you hear the importance of this discussion and can come to the Annual Meeting on Jan. 22 with a greater understanding of what we face in our future.
