In celebration of Interfaith Climate Advocacy Day, March 3, events at First United Methodist Church in Salem will offer participants the chance to learn more about global change and opportunities to advocate positive environmental actions and policies. Offered by Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, the first session kicks off with a presentation on Faith Values and Advocacy for the Planet by Rev. Marilyn Sewall, followed by a talk on effective citizen advocacy and briefings on key legislation. The second session includes a summary of the activities of the Central Pacific Conference, action steps for the Climate Action Network, and conversations on the climate.
